Christopher Hitchens

Christopher Hitchens (1949–2011), born in Portsmouth, England, was an author, foreign correspondent, essayist, literary critic, and lecturer. He wrote regularly for publications including the New York Times, Slate, Vanity Fair, and the Wall Street Journal. His published works include “Der Herr ist kein Hirte” (2007) and the essay “Der Feind” (2011). Hitchens died on 15 December 2011 after a long illness.
