Christoph Koch

Christoph Koch, born in 1974, is a German journalist and nonfiction author. After studying communication science, he worked at jetzt.de, the youth online magazine of the Süddeutsche Zeitung, eventually becoming deputy editor-in-chief. He has written for publications including brand eins, Die Zeit, SZ-Magazin, NEON, GEO, Monocle, and Tagesspiegel. He became known for the nonfiction book Ich bin dann mal offline – Leben ohne Internet und Handy, a personal experiment in giving up the internet and mobile phones, which spent several weeks on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. His other books include Die Vermessung meiner Welt and Digitale Balance. His journalistic work has received several awards.
