Christine Schulz-Reiss, born in 1956, studied German, history, politics and communication studies in Erlangen and Munich. She initially worked as a political editor and reporter for daily newspapers before becoming a freelance journalist in 1991. She subsequently wrote nonfiction books and biographies for children and young people. She became known in particular for the series “Wer war das?” and “Nachgefragt,” which cover topics including politics, human rights, philosophy and religion. Her book “Nachgefragt: Politik” was nominated for the Gustav Heinemann Peace Prize in 2004.
