Christina Wessely (born 1976 in Vienna) is a historian and cultural studies scholar. She studied history and German literature in Vienna and Berlin. After completing her doctorate, she worked, among other places, at the Max Planck Institute for the History of Science in Berlin, Harvard University, and the University of Vienna. She completed her habilitation at Humboldt University of Berlin in 2014 and subsequently held a professorship in the cultural history of knowledge at Leuphana University Lüneburg. Her publications include “Welteis. Eine wahre Geschichte” (2013) and “Löwenbaby” (2019).
