Christiane Stahl

Christiane Stahl was born in Mannheim in 1963. After completing secondary school, she spent five years in Paris, where she studied commercial French and later art history at the École du Louvre. She continued her studies at Freie Universität Berlin, where she earned a master’s degree and a doctorate. Her dissertation on the photographer and documentary filmmaker Alfred Ehrhardt received the Erich Stenger Prize from the German Society for Photography in 2005. In 2002, she became director of the Alfred Ehrhardt Foundation.
