Christiane Neudecker (born 1974) studied theatre direction at the Ernst Busch Academy of Dramatic Art in Berlin. She has worked as a writer and director, producing novels, short stories and opera libretti. Beginning in 2001, she collaborated internationally with the artist collective phase7, including on the AI opera “Chasing Waterfalls,” which premiered in 2022 at the Semperoper in Dresden and at the New Vision Arts Festival in Hong Kong. Her literary work has received several awards, and she has appeared on the SPIEGEL bestseller list. Her first collection of uncanny stories, “Das siamesische Klavier,” won the Phantastikpreis of the city of Wetzlar. She also translated Rita Bullwinkel’s “Schlaglicht” into German.
