Christian Rupp (born 1963) studied mechanical engineering and economics in Darmstadt and St. Gallen. Following two years of officer training, he served as a reservist for 18 years, ultimately becoming deputy battalion commander. He subsequently led an internationally active family business for eleven years and founded inprodi GmbH & Co. KG in 2005 and the Swiss company WPB AG in 2019. Rupp published 13 professional articles and two books and served on industrial supervisory boards. His experience in the military and in corporate management, particularly with preventive measures and checklists, also shaped his publications on emergency preparedness.
