Christian Eigner worked for many years as an advice editor, including in the advice department of a major illustrated magazine. From 2012 onward, he worked as a freelance journalist and author, focusing on consumer issues and finance. He regularly wrote for the magazines test and Finanztest and authored several guides for Stiftung Warentest, including Haushalt nebenbei, Grüner leben nebenbei, and Das Spar-Set.
