Christa Olbrich

Christa Olbrich is a German nursing scholar and author. She began her professional career at the age of 16 as a hospital aide and subsequently trained as a nurse. She later became a professor of nursing education and nursing science and served as dean at the Catholic University of Applied Sciences in Mainz. She was granted emerita status in 2012. Her dissertation on nursing competence was published in several editions and became a standard reference in the field. Her books include Pflegekompetenz, Kompetenzbasiertes Lehren und Lernen. Neue Wege in der Pflegeausbildung, and Modelle der Pflegedidaktik.
