Chris Hadfield is a Canadian astronaut and former test and fighter pilot. He completed three spaceflights, including two missions aboard the US Space Shuttle, and flew to the International Space Station as a pilot of a Russian Soyuz spacecraft. His career also included helping to assemble the Mir space station, conducting two spacewalks, and serving as commander of the ISS. At NASA, he served as Director of Operations in Russia.
