Charlotte Roth

Charlotte Roth, born in Berlin in 1965, is a literary scholar and author. She has also worked as a translator and editor. Her debut novel, *Als wir unsterblich waren*, which draws on part of her family history, became a bestseller. She subsequently published further historical novels, often focusing on women’s lives against the backdrop of German history.
