Charlotte Franke

Charlotte Franke, born in 1935 in Mohrungen, East Prussia, studied English literature at University College London and trained as an interpreter. As a translator, she translated works by Margaret Atwood, Joyce Carol Oates, Joan Didion, and Peter Carey, among others.
