Charlotte Blum

Charlotte Blum is the joint pen name of authors Regine Bott and Dorothea Böhme. Under this name, they write a historical crime series featuring telephone operator Alma Täuber and her unconventional friend Emmi. The idea was partly inspired by their grandmothers’ family histories: Regine Bott was fascinated from an early age by a photograph of her grandmother working as a telephone operator, while Dorothea Böhme’s grandmother challenged the gender roles of her time.
