Celia Rees

Celia Rees grew up in England and studied history and politics at the University of Warwick. She then worked as an English teacher for 17 years before turning to writing for children, teenagers and young adults. Her first book, the young adult thriller *Every Step You Take*, was published in 1993. In German-speaking countries, she became known for such novels as *Der Herr der Stürme*, *Hexenkind*, *Hexenschwestern* and *Piraten!*.
