Author · 3 books
Cat Jarman is a bioarchaeologist and field archaeologist. She worked at the University of Bristol’s Institute of Anthropology and Archaeology and spent many years researching the Viking Age. A particular focus of her work is the role of women and children in Viking culture. For her books, she used forensic methods including isotope analysis, radiocarbon dating and DNA analysis of human remains to place individual medieval experiences in broader historical contexts.
