Caroline Criado-Perez

Caroline Criado Perez, born in 1984, is a British author and broadcast journalist. She has written for publications including the New Statesman and the Guardian. Her debut book, *Do It Like a Woman*, is a work of journalistic nonfiction about women and was named one of the Guardian’s Books of the Year. Her notable campaigns include advocating the depiction of a woman on British banknotes, calling for Twitter to change its approach to abuse, and campaigning for a statue of women’s rights activist Millicent Fawcett in Parliament Square. In 2013, she was named Human Rights Campaigner of the Year; in 2015, she was appointed an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
