Carola von Kessel

Carola von Kessel is a German journalist and children’s author. Before turning to writing, she worked as a magazine editor and as an editor for various publishing houses, including in the children’s and horse-book fields. From 2002 onward, she worked as a freelance journalist and author and published numerous children’s and horse books. Her early work also included books based on children’s television series such as *Vicky the Viking*, *Maya the Bee* and *Tabaluga*. Von Kessel was an enthusiastic rider and kept horses of her own.
