Carmine Abate

Carmine Abate was born in 1954 in Carfizzi, Calabria. He emigrated to Germany in his youth and later worked as a teacher in Trentino. In 1984, he began publishing short stories, poetry and novels. His notable works include *The Hill of the Wind* and *Between Two Seas*. He received the Premio Campiello in 2012 for *The Hill of the Wind*.
