Carlo Bernasconi

Carlo Bernasconi (1952–2016) was a Swiss journalist, restaurateur and cookbook author. He worked as a freelance journalist for publications including Weltwoche, Berner Zeitung and Die Zeit, served as the Swiss correspondent for Börsenblatt für den deutschen Buchhandel, and was editor-in-chief of Schweizer Buchhandel. In Zurich, he ran a restaurant specializing in vegetarian Italian cuisine. As a writer, he published, among other works, the novels Der Mann (1983), Der Italiener (1987) and Mann ohne Schatten (1996), as well as the poetry collection Die Liebenden (1987).
