Carina Schnell studied translation studies, earning a bachelor’s degree from Heidelberg University and a master’s degree in specialised translation from the University of Geneva. She is an author and literary translator who lived abroad for several years. Her publications include the Sommer in Kanada series and the fantasy novel A Breath of Winter, which received the SERAPH award for Best Book in 2024. Schnell has a particular interest in foreign languages and cultures, as well as Norse mythology.
