Campino, whose real name is Andreas Frege, was born in Düsseldorf in 1962. He is known as the frontman and a founding member of the Düsseldorf punk rock band Die Toten Hosen. The son of a German father and an English mother, he grew up in Düsseldorf and spent considerable time with relatives in England. He has been a longstanding supporter of the English football club Liverpool FC and has followed its matches for decades.
