C. E. Bernard

C. E. Bernard is the pen name of Christine Lehnen, who was born in the Ruhr region in 1990. She studied English Literatures and Cultures and political science, and taught creative writing at the University of Bonn from 2014. Her short stories received literary prizes from the Young Academies of Europe and the Ruhrfestspiele Recklinghausen. Her novels were nominated for the RPC Fantasy Award and the LovelyBooks Readers’ Award. Lehnen wrote the Palace Saga and the Wayfarer Saga in English; the editions published in German were translated back into German.
