Bruder Otto Stahl

Bruder Otto Stahl (1959–2022) was a nursing-care worker and Christian monk. Before finding his Christian vocation, he spent almost three years as a Zen monk in a Japanese monastery and was part of Freiburg’s punk scene in the 1970s and 1980s. He also volunteered in end-of-life care and addiction counseling. He died in September 2022 after a serious illness.
