Bronislava von Podewils

Bronislava von Podewils (born 1970) studied sculpture at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Carrara in Italy from 1997 to 2002, earning her diploma there. She subsequently completed postgraduate studies under Professor Stephan Balkenhol at the State Academy of Fine Arts in Karlsruhe. In 2007, she established her Atelier von Podewils there. She has participated in numerous exhibitions in Germany and abroad. In 2023, she created a bust of jurist Erna Scheffler, the first female judge of Germany’s Federal Constitutional Court; it was installed at the Old Cemetery in Wolfartsweier near Karlsruhe.
