Britta Kiwit grew up in Düsseldorf. After becoming a mother for the first time in 2019, she founded the Avalino platform, which focuses on greater diversity in children’s books. Through social media, she advocated for more diverse children’s literature, combining social commentary with humor and comedy. In 2022, she received the Bunte New Faces Award Style in the “Social Style Hero” category for her engagement with social and societal issues.
