Brigitte Melzer

Brigitte Melzer was born in 1971 and began writing through her early enthusiasm for fantasy and fantasy role-playing games. Her debut novel, *Whisper – Königin der Diebe*, was among the three best manuscripts submitted for the 2003 Wolfgang Hohlbein Prize. She achieved her breakthrough with the *Vampyr* trilogy and subsequently published numerous further novels, including works of high fantasy and dark fantasy.
