Brigitte Blobel

Brigitte Blobel (born in Hamburg in 1942) studied theater studies and politics. She subsequently worked as an editor for Associated Press in Frankfurt and wrote reports for numerous magazines. She later wrote novels for young readers and adults, as well as screenplays for television films. Her notable novels include *Alsterblick*, *Der Ruf des Falken*, and *Das kalte Land*. Her young adult novels addressing contemporary issues received several awards and were translated into more than 20 languages.
