Bo Giertz (1905–1998) was a Swedish author and bishop of the Church of Sweden in Gothenburg. He wrote several historical novels, including *The Knights of Rhodes*. Among his best-known works are a translation of the New Testament with commentary and a devotional book that was widely read in Scandinavia.
