Blanca Imboden

Blanca Imboden (born 1962 in Ibach, Switzerland) first worked as a singer and secretary, then as a newspaper columnist for the Neue Schwyzer Zeitung and as a cable-car operator on Mount Stoos and Mount Stanserhorn. She subsequently devoted herself to writing novels, columns and short stories. Her novels include Wandern ist doof, Drei Frauen im Schnee, Anna & Otto, Matterhörner, Schwingfest, heimelig and Rigi. Together with Frank Baumann, she wrote Johnny Depp, the first book in the children’s series Schule ist doof. Many of her books feature the Swiss mountains and themes of human relationships.
