Birgit Lutz

Birgit Lutz (born 1974) is an author and journalist specializing in the Arctic. After a journey to the North Pole in 2007, she focused her work on the polar regions. She reached the North Pole several times on skis, crossed Greenland, and lived with Inuit communities for several months while conducting research. Her reportage, published in outlets including the Süddeutsche Zeitung, has received several awards. Her books include *Heute gehen wir Wale fangen* and *Nachruf auf die Arktis*.
