Binyamin Appelbaum worked as a financial and economics journalist for The New York Times. From 2010 to 2019, he was the paper’s Washington correspondent, covering economic policy in the aftermath of the 2008 financial crisis. Earlier in his career, he worked for The Washington Post, The Boston Globe, and The Charlotte Observer. Appelbaum received the George Polk Award and was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize.
