Bill Moody

Bill Moody (1941–2018) was born in Santa Monica, California, and initially worked as a jazz musician. He studied at Berklee College of Music in Boston and played drums with, among others, Maynard Ferguson, Earl Hines, and Lou Rawls. He later worked as a musician and writer in San Francisco. His experiences in the jazz world informed his novels featuring the jazz pianist and investigator Evan Horne.
