Beverly Jensen

Beverly Jensen was born in Westbrook, Maine, and studied acting at Southern Methodist University. From 1986 to 2003, she worked on her novel *The Lobster Sisters* while raising two children with her husband and working part-time in an office in New York City. Jensen died of pancreatic cancer at the age of 49, before any of her writing had been published. *The Lobster Sisters* was published posthumously.
