Bettina Blumenberg

Bettina Blumenberg worked as a writer, dramaturge, translator, and editor. She studied classical philology, Romance studies, and art history. As a translator, she translated works by Djuna Barnes, F. Scott Fitzgerald, Max Jacob, and Julien Green, among others, as well as art-historical writings on classical modernism. In 1984, she received the Marburg Literature Promotion Award, followed in 1985 by the Bavarian Art Promotion Award. She also taught literary and art theory at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich.
