Bernd Siggelkow is a trained theologian who worked as a youth pastor for several years. In 1995, he founded the Christian children’s and youth organization Die Arche in Berlin-Hellersdorf. In recognition of his work, he received, among other honors, the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany and the Order of Merit of the State of Berlin. He published several books on child poverty and is the father of six children.
