Bernd Heinrich

Bernd Heinrich, born in 1940 in Bad Polzin (now Połczyn-Zdrój), emigrated to the United States at the age of ten. He is a zoologist and professor emeritus of biology at the University of Vermont. He became known both as a marathon and ultramarathon runner and for his research on bumblebees, wild geese, and ravens.
