Ben Westhoff

Ben Westhoff is an American investigative journalist and author. He wrote about culture, drugs and poverty for publications including Rolling Stone, the Guardian, Vice and The Wall Street Journal. He edited the music section of L.A. Weekly for three years and became particularly known for his work on hip-hop and rap. His books include “Dirty South: Outkast, Lil Wayne, Soulja Boy, and the Southern Rappers Who Reinvented Hip-Hop” and “Original Gangstas,” a history of hip-hop.
