Ben Kane

Ben Kane was born in Kenya and grew up in Ireland, his parents’ homeland. Before turning to writing, he worked as a veterinarian. He had been fascinated by the history of Rome since childhood, and his debut novel, *The Forgotten Legion*, fulfilled a long-held ambition. His other historical fiction includes the *Eagles of Rome* and *Lionheart* series; the latter turns to the English Middle Ages.
