Beate Maly

Beate Maly was born in Vienna in 1970. Before becoming an author, she worked in early childhood intervention. She initially wrote children’s books and educational nonfiction, later publishing numerous historical novels and historical crime novels. She was nominated for the Leo Perutz Prize in 2019 and 2023, including for »Mord auf der Donau«, and won the Silver Homer in 2021.
