Beate Boeker

Beate Boeker is a German author of crime novels, romantic comedies, and short stories. Her first novel was published in 2008 by New York-based Avalon Books. She has been described as a USA Today bestselling author, and her books have been nominated for awards including the Golden Quill Contest, the National Readers’ Choice Award, and Best Indie Books. Boeker initially wrote in English and also translates her work into German. Her series include the cozy-crime series Florentinische Morde and Mord in Viareggio, which she published under the pseudonym Carla di Luca. She studied business administration with an international focus and worked as a marketing consultant. In addition to German, she speaks English, French, and Italian.
