Barry Eisler

Barry Eisler (born 1964) worked for three years in a covert position for the CIA. During a period in Japan, he earned a black belt at the Kodokan International Judo Center in Tokyo. Following the international success of his first John Rain thriller, *Rain Fall* (German: *Tokio Killer*), he turned to writing.
