Barbara Treskatis

Barbara Treskatis was born in Flatow in 1940. She trained in fine art and graphic design at the HDK Berlin and in Munich, followed by training in costume design at the Master School in Berlin. After early engagements in Bochum and Darmstadt, she worked freelance at, among others, the Thalia Theater in Hamburg, the Burgtheater in Vienna, Schauspiel Frankfurt, the Schiller Theater in Berlin, and theaters in Cologne, Bonn, and Zurich. Interested in comics since childhood, she later connected this interest with literature.
