Barbara Lehnerer

Barbara Lehnerer was born in Hanover, Germany. She studied German, English, education, psychology and literary translation at the universities of Munich and Durham. She worked as a German and English teacher in London and Munich before becoming an author and translator from English, American and Australian sources in 1989. Her debut novel, The Sound of Colors, received the Munich Literature Fellowship.
