Barbara Chase-Riboud

Barbara Chase-Riboud (born 1939) is an American author, draughtswoman and sculptor. Alongside an internationally successful career in the visual arts, she developed a literary career. Her notable works include the novel *Sally Hemings*, whose U.S. edition was edited by Jacqueline Kennedy in 1979. Chase-Riboud received numerous awards.
