Banu Mushtaq

Banu Mushtaq, born in 1948 in Hassan, in the Indian state of Karnataka, is an author, lawyer and activist. Her story collection Meistens bleibt ja die Frau zu Hause, which brings together stories written over 30 years, was awarded the International Booker Prize in 2025 as the first story collection to receive the prize.
