B. R. Myers, also known as Bethany R. Myers, is the author of the international bestseller *A Dreadful Splendor*, which received the Mary Higgins Clark Award. She has also written numerous books for young adults and worked as a nurse. As a teenager, she read works by authors including Lois Duncan, Ray Bradbury, and Stephen King.
