Astrid Korten

Astrid Korten studied economics in Maastricht and Leiden and initially spent several years in senior positions in the business sector. She later devoted herself to writing. She is best known for thrillers and psychological thrillers, but also writes novels, screenplays and short stories. Her notable works include Eiskalte Umarmung, Wo ist Jay?, the Overkill series and Poppy. Her work has received several awards and nominations in the United States. Her research is supported by specialists in fields including forensic science, psychology, genetic engineering and medicine. She wrote her first crime story at the age of 13.
