Aslak Nore, born in Oslo in 1978, studied at the University of Oslo and the New School for Social Research in New York. He served with Norway’s Telemark Battalion in Bosnia and worked as a journalist in the Middle East and Afghanistan. He has published several nonfiction books and four novels in Norway. His novel The Cemetery of the Sea is the first book in a thriller series about the Falck family and has been sold in numerous countries.
