Arto Paasilinna

Arto Paasilinna (1942–2018) was born in Kittilä in Finnish Lapland. A Finnish journalist and writer, he published a total of 35 novels, several of which were adapted for film. His works have been translated into more than 40 languages and received prestigious literary awards. They are known, among other things, for their straightforward language, exuberant imagination and dry humour.
