Anthony Veasna So

Anthony Veasna So (1992–2020) was from Stockton, California, and earned a master’s degree in fiction writing from Syracuse University. His work appeared in publications including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, n+1, and Granta. His short-story collection Afterparties received the National Book Critics Circle’s John Leonard Prize and the Ferro-Grumley Award for LGBTQ Fiction. It was also a New York Times bestseller and was named one of the books of the year by The New York Times, The Washington Post, and the Los Angeles Times.
